Barbara Haney has dedicated her career to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through education, leadership, and service. Today, she serves as the General Manager of the Central Lakes Learning Center, an afterschool program committed to providing students with academic support, personal growth opportunities, and a safe, structured environment where they can thrive.

Her professional journey reflects a rich combination of entrepreneurial drive and corporate expertise. Barbara has owned and operated businesses where she developed the ability to lead teams, manage operations, and build strong relationships with families and clients. She also worked in the financial services sector, where she guided individuals in making informed decisions about their financial futures. These experiences deepened her skills in strategic planning, problem-solving, and communication—qualities that now inform her approach to education management.

Academically, Barbara earned degrees in Government and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, along with certification in Speech and Language Therapy from Texas A&M International University. This diverse educational foundation equips her with both a broad understanding of organizational leadership and a sensitivity to the individual developmental needs of children.

At the Central Lakes Learning Center, Barbara brings together all aspects of her professional background to create a program that goes beyond homework help. She oversees curriculum planning, staff development, and student services, ensuring that the center offers engaging, well-rounded learning experiences that prepare students for success in school and in life.
